BCC WINS WSIS Prizes 2020

BNDA team participated in WSIS Prizes 2020 competition. WSIS recognizes outstanding projects that leverage the power of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to accelerate socio-economic development. One of our project 'Recruitment Process Management as a Shared Service for Government Agencies of Bangladesh' has won for the Category 11: E-employment. After an intensive online voting phase, which ended on 24 January, our project was among the most voted in its category.
This Shared Recruitment Management Service is a secured platform that processes job applications. It enables applicants to apply from home & pay from mobile. Employers can process job applications electronically. It has facility of conducting online exam with automated result processing facility. It utilizes BlockChain technology to prevent fraudulent practices related to assessment exam. A large question bank ensures managing assessment test with quality. ICT division is planning to introduce National Government Jobs portal, which will be centered on this shared service. Also, it will be integrated with HRM module of GRP(Government Resource Planning) system, and that will enable management of professional lifecycle of a govt employee to it's fullest. It has been used by 25+ Govt agencies/projects. Recruitment of 1800+ applicants is already completed! It has processed 1,60,000+ online job applications against 70+ posts of 55+ different recruitment notices in last 2+ years.
The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) secretary-general will hand over the prize during a ceremony in Geneva International Conference Centre, Switzerland on April 7, as part of the annual UN WSIS Forum 2020. A team of delegates from ICT Division and BCC will visit Switzerland to receive the prize. Please stay with us for the upcoming event
